Metics Media is a small team creating YouTube videos about online tools and software for an audience of over 700,000 subscribers. Our tutorials, reviews, and comparisons help people choose the right tools, learn how to use them, and build their online presence.
We partner with leading platforms like Shopify, Hostinger, and Squarespace, which allows us to keep our content free for our audience.
We're looking for highly talented and motivated content creators to join our team and help us create even better content for millions of viewers around the world.
What you'll do
Research
Research topics and tools for upcoming videos.
Write
Write video scripts and outlines.
Record
Record videos, including talking-head and screen recordings. Your face will be visible in your videos.
Edit
Perform basic video editing tasks and prepare footage for our in-house editor.
What we're looking for
- Native-level written and spoken English
- Strong on-camera presentation skills and the ability to communicate clearly and confidently
- Ability to quickly understand complex topics and explain them clearly to beginners
- Strong research skills and the ability to verify information before presenting it
- AI-native and highly proficient with modern AI tools, using them effectively to work faster, improve quality, and maximize productivity
- High attention to detail and a strong commitment to producing high-quality work
- Ability to take feedback and continuously improve
- Reliable, organized, and able to work independently and take ownership of your projects
- Genuine interest in YouTube, online tools, software, and learning new topics
- A quiet, dedicated workspace where you can work without interruptions and record videos with minimal background noise
- Fast internet connection with at least 50 Mbps download and 25 Mbps upload
- Legal authorization to work in the US or Canada
Nice to have
- Previous experience creating educational video content
- Knowledge of topics such as website creation, AI tools, ecommerce, or other areas we regularly create videos about
- Equipment needed to produce high-quality videos
Working at Metics Media
At Metics Media, you'll have a lot of freedom in how you work. You'll be trusted to structure your own day, manage your projects independently, and take ownership of your work. We're a small, ambitious team with high standards, and we're always looking for ways to improve what we create and how we work.
At the same time, you'll get hands-on support, feedback, and training from people with over 8 years of experience making YouTube videos.
Compensation
We offer a competitive base salary along with a profit-sharing bonus based on the performance of the videos you create.

Record a short intro video
Record a short video introducing yourself and telling us why you'd be a great fit. This is your chance to show us how you come across on camera.

Upload your intro video and your CV somewhere you can share a link: YouTube (as an unlisted video), Loom, Google Drive or Dropbox all work. Make sure anyone with the link can view them. Links to videos you've made before are optional, but welcome.

Do I need to live in the US or Canada?
Yes. The role is fully remote, but you need to be legally authorized to work in the US or Canada.

How should I share my intro video and CV?
Upload them to YouTube (as an unlisted video), Loom, Google Drive or Dropbox and paste the links into the form. Please double-check that sharing is set to "Anyone with the link". We can't review files we can't open.
Do I need previous YouTube experience?
It's a plus, but not required. Strong on-camera presentation and the ability to explain complex topics clearly matter most.
Do I need my own recording equipment?
Having your own equipment is a plus, but not required. You do need a quiet, dedicated workspace and an internet connection with at least 50 Mbps download and 25 Mbps upload.
